Billy Bob Thornton is an actor, filmmaker, singer and songwriter who rose to international fame after writing, directing and starring in the 1996 film “Sling Blade,” for which he won an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay and earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. Billy Bob has starred in numerous films throughout his career including “One False Move,” “Tombstone,” “Dead Man,” “Armageddon,” “Monster’s Ball,” “Bad Santa” “Friday Night Lights” and “A Simple Plan,” which earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He also starred in the TV series “Hearts Afire,” “Goliath” and “Fargo,” which earned him an Emmy nomination for Best Actor in a Miniseries or Television Film.
