17-Year-Old Hosts Free Virtual Music Lessons To Kids During Pandemic

Seventeen-year-old Julia Segal felt inspired after teaching a songwriting class at a local elementary school. She decided to come up with a way to bring the joy of music to kids while they're staying at home. She started QuaranTunes, which allows teens to teach virtual music lessons to younger kids. Instead of charging for this service, Julia collected donations and was able to raise $35,000 for the CDC Foundation. She also started a donation program to help kids who can't afford instruments. Kelly surprises Julia by donating $5,000 to the Save The Music Foundation on behalf of QuaranTunes, and her band Y'all donates all their instruments and voice lessons to kids involved in the program.
